This club was started in 1970. Since that time, River Valley Dutchmen Snowmobile Club (RVDSC) has helped the city of New Ulm create a snowmobile ordinance, and works with the Brown County Sheriff during snow emergencies. The club also works with the DNR to create, groom, and maintain the trails in Brown County.
RVDSC also offers a class each year for young snowmobile riders to make sure that everyone knows how to safely operate a sled.
Many fundraisers and events have been held over the years. The most recent are hillclimbs and a sled raffle. Past events include radar runs, poker rides, and grass drags. Another large event was the WSA Snowcross races at the Brown County Fairgrounds and an Extreme Hillclimb. We are a non-profit group, so these events help us to pay for keeping our trails in top shape. RVDSC is on its fourth groomer and needs your support to continue its work.
